My Favorite Scents

I am so happy to have found a non toxic perfume that I can feel good about wearing. I have cleaned up so many areas of my life in regards to food, skin care, etc. that this is one more thing I don't have to do without!

Toxic content

Isn’t tonka bean high in coumarin? Which is toxic for liver and is banned in USA? I have been reading research and there even had be fatalities from extended use of sunscreen that contain this ingredient? Please explain!! I need to return my purchase 😷

Rest assured, the tonka bean extract in our fragrances is used at very low levels, well within the strict safety guidelines set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA). These guidelines ensure that our products are completely safe for skin contact.

While tonka bean is restricted as a food additive due to its level of coumarin, its use in fragrances is carefully regulated and safe. As noted in Tisserand and Young’s Essential Oil Safety (2nd ed., 2014) as well, the levels we use are non-hazardous for the skin.

Having said that we want to respect your concerns and we would be willing to offer you an exchange with some of our other fragrances.
