Bare Candle

I like the scent very much. What I dont like is that it doesnt last very long.

I started with the scent discovery packs - I wanted a non-toxic perfume but am super sensitive to heavy scents. My two favorites are Bare and Gardenia & Lily, but Bare was the clear winner! It's so light and clean, just enough to make someone lean in closer to get a whiff. Perfection!

This is the perfect finishing touch to an outfit with an oversized cream cashmere sweater, a silk camisole, wide-leg blue denim, and hair slicked back into a ballerina bun. It’s effortless, fresh, clean, and sensual—the ultimate clean girl scent.

It opens with a light, sweet floral note of gardenia, while a hint of aromatic sage peeks through to add freshness and depth. The orris lends a soft powderiness that gives the whole scent a delicate, fluffy texture—like a whisper of silk.

The drydown is soft, sweet, and lightly musky—and I’m genuinely impressed that Esas was able to create such a musky effect using only botanicals, with no synthetic aroma chemicals. It’s a testament to their craft.

This scent is versatile, elevated, and intimately wearable—easily worthy of signature scent status.

Projection and sillage are a solid arm’s length or more, and longevity is excellent: about 6 hours with presence, followed by a soft skin scent that lingers for several more hours.

I absolutely love this scent. People have come into my house, I don't even have the candle going just in case, but the cap is off so the scent can still be noticeable, and everyone loves it and asks where they get it. I've had more at home of it and decided to gift them. Yes everyone has different preferences but that alone doesn't call for a lesser review if the scents aren't their favorite; reviews should be for how the product arrived, how effective it is, because different scents please people in different ways. Every single time I've ordered from ESAS, their products have arrived in pristine packaging, nothing ever broke, and I've always used their candles down to the very last light and parfum down to the very last drop :) There are a couple of ingredients I personally don't enjoy, but even if I don't, the way they smell just so well put together has me really impressed with their calculation of chemistry for each product. Although, I pretty much enjoy every single product here and it's not something easy to find in a company :)

Obviously a well made and quality scent, but I simply couldn’t get over the grandma feel of Bare. Of course everyone’s nose is going to experience it differently, but I didn’t find anything about this scent to be particularly clean or sweet. If you’re into the grandma-ish scent you will probably love it but don’t go for this one if not.

Not in love with the scent. Not as clean of a smelling scent. I thought it would be more fresh and clean smelling.

Bare really surprised me! It’s beautiful and so nostalgic, it makes me want to cry. Smells so pretty and unique. Very clean girl next door and not perfumey at all, like those perfumes that just smell like the mall or Sephora in general. This is not that! I have a HUGE perfume collection, like over 70 bottles lol, and I reach for this often, especially during the day or at night after a shower. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite man killer or date night perfume, but I think a man would actually really love it-it has its place in my collection and I absolutely LOVVVVE Bare! I never want to be without her and I wear almost every day.

This brought me back to being with my dad, who I lost 14 years ago, it reminded me of my childhood with him-such a specific memory that was something we did often - go to the beach.

Smells like being on the beach in Maine, at dusk, the smell of ice cold ocean, fresh, clean salt water in your hair. Sun drenched skin lingering with Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen, after swimming all day; a touch of bug spray in the air, (not the yucky kind lol) while roasting lots marshmallows as the sun sets over the New England landscape; pink and white beach roses and evergreen trees, behind an expanse of marshes, reflecting the pastel colors of the sky, turning from baby pink and gold, to dusky blues and purples. On the dry down, the glorious shower at the end of it all, the smell of a shampoo you used to use but can’t place the brand, when you feel clean and ready for bed. With the sound of the ocean outside your bedroom window, you drift off to sleep.

It smells like a New England summer vacation. For me, that’s exactly what Bare smells like. When I tell you I almost cry every time I wear it. It’s like a hug from my dad, but doesn’t smell masculine. It’s nostalgic, soft, clean, fresh, and feminine, while being sophisticated, but not “grandma-esque.” I would say it’s youthful, and unique AH. You won’t smell like “perfume.” Obsessed, please never stop making this one😭☀️🌊🌕🧸 (I have a bit of synesthesia for those who also do, it smells like the color combo pastel green, blue, and baby pink to me lol🩵🩷💚) hope you enjoyed this novel🥹🤗💕
